As the President of the planning Committee of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo UK in 2004, providence assigned me the challenging duty of establishing an umbrella organisation for Ndi Igbo in the United Kingdom.
After a 30-month selfless service by members of my committee, we delivered Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo UK by uniting dozens of Igbo organisations under one leader.
Coming from Anioma, I recognise the inextricable link between our destiny and that of our brothers and sisters on the eastern shore of River Niger. Once again, fate has delegated me another duty; to assist President Ejike Uzoalor in building Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo that will meet the needs of Ndi Igbo in Nigeria and in Diaspora – a duty I pledge to perform with my heart and soul.
